BOSCH PERFORMANCE LINE CX(-R) UPDATE: INCREASE YOUR MOTOR TO 120 NM
Bosch has released a new e-bike update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors. This update, available via the eBike Flow App, allows you to increase the maximum torque to an impressive 120 Nm. This means more power and more control on challenging terrain. What is the Bosch e-bike update to 120Nm?
The latest Bosch update is a software upgrade for e-bikes with the Smart System and a Performance Line CX (BDU384Y) or CX-R (BDU386Y) motor. While the maximum torque was previously max. 100 Nm, you can now increase it to 120 Nm.
More Newton meters simply means more pulling power. You will notice this especially when cycling up a steep hill, riding off-road, or carrying a lot of luggage. The big advantage is that you don't need any new parts: you can easily perform the upgrade via the eBike Flow App.
What does the upgrade offer you?
After installing the Performance Upgrade via the eBike Flow App, you will gain access to higher performance values:
- Torque up to 120 Nm: extra power for steep climbs, explosive trails, and heavy loads.
- Peak power up to 750 W: More power means faster acceleration and better performance on challenging sections. This is only an upgrade for CUBE models with a CX motor. The CX-R already had 750W.
- Motor support up to 600%: Your own pedaling power is increased sixfold, ideal for rides or climbs that seem endless.
How to install the Bosch motor update?
Installing the Performance Line CX(-R) upgrade is easy. Follow these steps:
- Open the eBike Flow App on your smartphone (make sure you have the latest version).
- Connect your CUBE e-bike via Bluetooth to the app.
- Go to Settings > My eBike > Updates.
- If the Performance Upgrade is available, a notification will appear on the screen.
- Follow the on-screen steps to download and install the update.
The update only takes a few minutes, and you don't need a professional or any tools. Make sure your e-bike is sufficiently charged (at least 30%) during the update installation.
