NEW BIKE GUIDE

Congratulations on your CUBE! Get started with your new bike.

PLAN YOUR MAINTENANCE AHEAD

Basic maintenance for your new bike consists of several tasks. For optimal lifespan and proper functioning of your drivetrain, it's important to clean and lubricate it regularly. Lubricate only the chain , and in moderation.

Clean the brake rotors regularly to prevent unnecessary rapid wear of the brake pads and possible squeaking brakes. Do this with a clean cloth and/or brake cleaner. To extend the life of your front fork , it's important to keep it clean and occasionally spray the stanchions and seals with fork spray.

SERVICE AT YOUR CUBE STORE

We recommend having your bike serviced at least once a year . It's also advisable to have it serviced after breaking it in.

E-BIKE TIPS: HOW TO KEEP IT IN GOOD CONDITION

For optimal performance and longevity of your e-bike battery, only charge it with the original charger, preferably at room temperature. The battery can be charged at any charge level. Interrupting the charging process will not damage the battery. After charging, disconnect the battery and charger from the power supply. For long-term storage, we recommend storing the battery at 30-60% charge and at room temperature .

SHIFTING LIKE A CLASSIC BICYCLE

Inadequately applying "normal" shifting behavior on electrically assisted bicycles can lead to unnecessarily rapid wear of the chain and sprockets. Shift down when braking and shift up when accelerating and starting off. Ensure a sufficiently high pedaling speed to distribute the power of the assistance more effectively.

THE CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE

Maintaining the correct tire pressure will reduce wear. The maximum and minimum allowable pressures are printed on the tire, and may be influenced by rider weight and personal preference.
