What is a trekking bike?
A trekking bike , also called a touring bike, is designed to cover longer distances. Where a city bike is great for going to and from the supermarket, a trekking bike is best suited for the mile-eaters. For example, during a cycling holiday if you want to go off-road. They are sporty built with a light but strong frame and almost always have a derailleur gear with a wide gear range. There is also suspension in the front fork and therefore the trekking bikes have a lot of grip. Always make sure you choose the right frame size.
