PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL – 2026 ACID CARBON HYBRID CRANKARMS
As part of its ongoing quality control, CUBE has determined that the aluminum threaded pedal insert in 2026 ACID Carbon Hybrid crank arms can suddenly detach from the crank arm. Therefore, a product safety recall has been initiated, affecting certain CUBE e-bike models from model year 2026.
Which CUBE e-bikes are covered by the recall?
The recall applies to CUBE e-bike models from model year 2026 that are equipped with 2026 ACID Carbon Hybrid crank arms. Would you like to check if your bike is affected? Please check your bike's frame number using the CUBE Bike Check.
Please note: If your bike is subject to this safety recall, do not use it until the crank arms have been replaced.
What does this mean for you?
To ensure user safety, the ACID Carbon Hybrid crank arms of all affected bicycles must be replaced.
You can choose from two options:
- Permanent replacement with aluminum crank arms
Your carbon crank arms will be permanently replaced with aluminum crank arms. As compensation, you will receive a free ACID e-bike Front Light PRO-E worth £129.95. - Temporary replacement with aluminum crank arms
Your carbon crank arms will be temporarily replaced with aluminum crank arms. Once the updated carbon crank arms are available, they will be fitted. The expected delivery time for these is approximately 12 months.
