On our quest to develop the perfect rim shape, we conducted impact tests and FEM analyses on over 30 different rim profile prototypes. This resulted in the rim profile we now use on all MTB wheels.
The 30 millimeter wide aluminium Beskar rims with their flat profile achieved the best impact resistance values in their weight classes on the test bench - both in comparison to the predecessor and the competition.
The combination of the thought through rim profile, a welded joint, and the finest aluminum results in a highly durable and yet lightweight rim that doesn´t shy away from any challenge.
We follow the principle low weight in the front, high durability in the back. This is why we developed four versions of the Beskar rim: light, base, strong and DH. While the rim profile.

Depending on the intended use, either 28 or 32 high-end Sapim spokes connect rim and hub. To give you the perfect balance between weight, durability and comfort, not only the spoke count, but also the thickness varies.

Our top priority when designing this seat post was to incorporate flex for maximum comfort into a highly reliable, simple piece of technology. But maximum flex isn't everything. Seat posts with too much flex have two crucial disadvantages: 1. High cadences cause the rider to start bouncing 2. The lack of damping delivers an uncomfortable kickback when riding over obstacles seated. So some flex is good, but it must be controlled. And because we want to make biker's lives that little bit easier, we paid attention to the smallest details. Like using EPDM O-rings to prevent the threaded inserts in the upper clamp from falling out when loosening the bolts.

After some 15 years of virtually zero innovation in stem design and fabrication, we have come up with a brand-new design using state-of-the-art production technology. It sets a new benchmark in stem design. The NEWMEN EVOLUTION SL 318.2 is the world's lightest 3D-forged oversize stem. 3D-forged stems appeared on the market in around 2001. Super lightweight models were quick to follow and for years they were the benchmark in terms of weight. With the advent of the 31.8 mm handlebar standard, and as stem design evolved to keep pace with frame design (round stems don't fit modern frames), weights shot back up. This changed with the NEWMEN EVOLUTION SL 318.2. It keeps the modern design, uniting clean, contemporary looks with light weight, while offering outstanding stiffness, stability and durability. The stem is easy to install using the instructions provided. An illustrated guide is to follow soon. PLEASE NOTE: Not all race handlebars are compatible with our NEWMEN EVOLUTION SL 318.2 stem.
