What makes a Schwalbe inner tube special?
Besides the quality of the components, the purity of the rubber compound distinguishes the quality of the inner tube. The raw material is therefore pressed through seven filters under enormous pressure before extraction. All
inner tubes are placed in a mold and inflated before vulcanization. Only this procedure ensures uniform wall thickness and long-lasting air tightness.
All inner tubes are inflated and stored for 24 hours to test their air tightness. After that, each inner tube is carefully inspected individually. For many years, bike retailers have valued the Schwalbe inner tube for its high reliability.
Due to the high elasticity and quality, one inner tube can cover many tire sizes. Inner tube group 17 is equally suitable for a tire width of 28 mm as for a tire width of 47 mm. This is a big advantage for stock management in specialty stores.
All valves are nickel-plated and threaded. The valve core is always replaceable. Schwalbe inner tubes with the Dutch bike valve can also be pressure tested and have a high pressure-stable valve seal.
Every Schwalbe inner tube is 100% recyclable. We can use recycled butyl rubber in the production of new inner tubes without loss of quality. We have developed our own de-vulcanization method in our factory. We have been successfully using this method for many years.
Each new Schwalbe standard inner tube consists of 20% recycled material. Compared to extracting and transporting new butyl, recycling inner tubes consumes only 20% of the energy.
