Gravel bike tires are usually tubeless-ready. This is mainly because gravel bikes are often designed with influences from the mountain bike and cyclocross world, where tubeless riding is common. Of course it is possible to use a tubeless-ready tire with an inner tube, but it performs significantly better in terms of rolling resistance, grip and comfort when mounted tubeless. So it is definitely recommended if you are going gravel biking!
Gravel tires, which ones fit your racing bike?
The compatibility of gravel tires with your road bike is determined by the available frame clearance. Modern road bikes with disc brakes usually have clearance for tires ranging from 30mm to sometimes even 38mm wide. For road bikes with rim brakes, the suitable tire width usually ranges from 23mm to 28mm, although this depends on the specific bike model. Our specific gravel tires are available from 30mm wide, making them suitable for most road bikes with disc brakes. If your frame does not allow for this width, road bike tires of 28mm wide can already deliver considerable performance on hard gravel roads.
