On our quest to develop the perfect rim shape, we conducted impact tests and FEM analyses on over 30 different rim profile prototypes. This resulted in the rim profile we now use on all MTB wheels.
The 30 millimeter wide aluminium Beskar rims with their flat profile achieved the best impact resistance values in their weight classes on the test bench - both in comparison to the predecessor and the competition.
The combination of the thought through rim profile, a welded joint, and the finest aluminum results in a highly durable and yet lightweight rim that doesn´t shy away from any challenge.
We follow the principle low weight in the front, high durability in the back. This is why we developed four versions of the Beskar rim: light, base, strong and DH. While the rim profile.

Making use of thru axles with a 142 mm rear and Centerlock mounting for disc brake rotors, the ACID Road Race HPA wheelset represents great value for a pair of spare, replacement or training wheels. The 23 mm width High Performance Aluminium is pinned at the join for strength and durability, and features SSE for improved seating of the spoke nipples, resulting in a more consistent and longer-lasting build. J-bend spokes are laced three-cross, with 28 for each wheel. Industrial bearings ensure smooth running and a long service life, and with the use of appropriate rim tape it's possible to run tubeless tyres.
Designed as an affordable option for mountain bikes with a Boost rear axle – and either 29" or 27.5" in wheel sizes – the ACID MTB Race HPA wheelset makes use of CUBE High Performance Aluminium for the 30 mm wide rim, pinned at the joint for strength and durability. Industrial bearings ensure a long service life even in tough riding conditions, and thru axles secure the wheels to the frame. Disc rotors can be attached via a Centerlock mount. The 32 J-bend spokes are laced in a three-cross pattern, whilst SSE improves the seating of nipples at the rim for a truer, stronger wheel build – and, with the right rim tape, it's possible to use tubeless tyres.
Chainring in sizes 38T and 40T with narrow-wide technology for enhanced chain retention. Created specifically for Bosch BDU37/31-equipped e-bikes (Gen 4) and compatible with Shimano 10-/11-speed drivetrains. With a 50mm chainline for optimal alignment and improved overall drive system efficiency. Ideal for e-bike enthusiasts who want long-lasting components they can rely on.
Chainring in sizes 38T and 40T utilising efficient narrow-wide technology to improve chain retention and minimise the likelihood of chain drops. Created specifically for Bosch BDU38/34 drive systems and compatible with Shimano 10-/11-speed drivetrains. The 52mm optimised chainline delivers enhanced power transfer and improves overall drivetrain efficiency, making it ideal for e-bikers who value reliability and performance.
The ACID MTB RACE HPA wheel, available in 29" and 27.5" versions, both with thru axle, fits a wide range of mountain bikes and offers an affordable and versatile option. Made from CUBE High Performance Alloy, which is pint at the joint, provides a solid base. The 30 mm wide rim is suitable for different tire widths and can be prepared for a tubeless setup with the right rim tape. Standard J-bend spokes are positioned more effectively on the nipple thanks to the SSE system. Spoking is done in a triple-cross pattern with 32 spokes per wheel, and disc brakes can be mounted using the Centerlock mount.
The ACID Road Race HPA wheel offers excellent value for money for a spare or training wheel by using the thru-axle hub and centerlock mount for disc brakes. The 23mm wide rim is made from high performance aluminum and is pinned at the joint for added strength and durability and features SSE to improve spoke nipple fit, resulting in a more consistent and durable build. The 28 J-bend spokes are triple crossed. Industrial bearings guarantee smooth running and a long service life. The wheel can be converted to tubeless with matching rim tape.
